Despite being Kratos’ half-brother, Hercules holds no love for the Spartan king. In the game, Hercules is intensely jealous of Zeus’ preference for Kratos. For that reason, Hercules aims to steal the title God of War from Kratos by killing him.What’s annoying about the fight with Hercules is that he’ll try to drain the energy of gamers by summoning undead warriors. If the game is set to high difficulty, the undead grunts can greatly chip away at Kratos’ health. Gamers will need to be patient when battling Hercules and know that the fight will get easier as long as they overcome Hercules’ army of pawns.
God of War 3 is an epic game that sees Kratos face off difficult Greek gods and deities. Such include Poseidon, who is positioned at the start of the game. Gamers will have a tough time trying to defeat Poseidon, especially since they are not equipped with any upgrades or power-ups.Being the ruler of the ocean, Poseidon uses everything in his power to prevent Kratos from getting to the top of Mount Olympus. This includes wielding his huge trident, which can severely deplete the health of players. While there are plenty of more tedious opponents further on in the game, Poseidon is a tough enemy to face as he’s placed directly at the beginning of the game.
After facing Zeus in God of War 2, players must once again defeat him in an incredibly long and difficult fight in God of War 3. The battle against the leader of Olympus is even more challenging than players might expect, as it has multiple phases that happen in different settings, each with its own unique mechanics.One of the hardest parts of the battle is when players are suddenly thrown into a 2D version of the arena. The side-scrolling approach to this part of the fight makes it difficult to dodge Zeus’ powerful attacks. As if things weren’t hard enough, a later phase reveals that Zeus can actually clone himself and attack Kratos from multiple directions. These clones are nearly impossible to dodge and even harder to kill.
